Him to Him: Bromance ideas for Valentines Day

04 February 2021
2-minute read

Candlelit dinners, chocolate fountains and a bouquet of flowers - plenty of things pop up when Valentine’s Day comes to mind. Unfortunately, if you’re spending the 14th February with your best mates instead, those ideas might be a bit overkill. We reckon Valentine’s Day should be about more than just your love life. That’s why we’ve come up with a few ideas to help you celebrate your bromance in style.

Be open and honest

Valentine's Day is an opportunity to let the most important people in your life know that you care - so there’s no better time to let your mates know that you’re there to support them. Grab your best mate, put aside the banter and let him know how you feel about him. Being authentic is incredibly rewarding and will only deepen your friendship - even if it is a bit awkward.

Plan a trip

After being stuck indoors for the best part of last year, everybody’s eager to get outside and start exploring the world again. Why not book an Airbnb and head down to a seaside getaway with a couple of mates? Visiting another part of the country with your mates is a great way to have some fun and celebrate your friendship. Alternatively, if you fancy getting off the beaten track, why not invest in a proper tent and explore the great outdoors together instead.

Time for the pub

Simple, honest and back to basics - there’s nothing better than heading to the pub with your best mate. Whether you’re planning out a winding pub crawl or settled for a couple of pints in your favourite drinking hole, there’s no shame in simplicity. In fact, Sons itself is the product of our founders sitting in the pub and chatting over a couple of pints!

Plan a surprise

If you want to show your mate just how much he means to you, planning a surprise is definitely a tear jerker. It doesn’t have to be something massive, but taking the time to surprise your friend with gig tickets, a round of golf or even a six pack of beer will always be appreciated. Whether they're behind their desk at work or walking home, make sure you're there to see their face light up.

Here at Sons, our aim is to spark conversations between men around long held taboos. While we may focus on hair loss, our goal is to encourage men to open up and not be afraid to say what they really think. This Valentine’s make sure you take the opportunity to let your bro know just how much he means to you.
