Long hair or short hair, daily routines can help to keep your hair thriving, as well as being suitable alongside our hair loss treatments. To help you out, we’ve got together 8 daily hair routine tips to ensure your hair stays strong, structured and healthy.

Stay clean...

Cleanliness is essential if you want the hair on your head to thrive. A clean scalp is a healthy scalp and stops you from disrupting the delicate microbiome balance at the top of your head.  It’s important to wash away debris and hair gel/wax from your hair every day or two.

...but not too clean

However, while it’s important to keep things clean, over-washing can strip your hair of some of the essential oils it needs to thrive. Make sure not to overwash by using too much shampoo or abrasive shampoos and don’t stress about going a day or two without washing your hair.

Use the right products

From styling wax to shampoo, the product you use to wash or style your hair can have a big impact on its health. Investing in quality products and not using too much can be very beneficial. Additionally, our Biotin supplement can be consumed once a day to help build and fortify the structure of your hair.

Keep the consistency

Keeping your hair strong and healthy isn’t a one-off thing. Practising all of these tips or any hair treatments you are using will only have an impact if you’re doing it on a daily basis for at least a few months. Writing them down and using reminders on your phone is a great way to stay on top.

Adapt to your style

Daily routines can vary a lot depending on the style of your hair. Growing it out? Being careful with tying your hair up and using conditioner is key. If you’re getting fed up with the high maintenance that long hair requires, it might be worth swapping to a shorter cut.

Dry right

When drying your hair, we suggest not using a dryer that’s too hot. While it might save time, excessive heat can make your hair dry and coarse. Letting your hair dry naturally, especially if it’s long, will only make your post-shower routine healthier.

Don’t wear hats too often

While you might want to sport your favourite hat from time to time, wearing it too often can have a negative effect on your hair. Tight hats can pull hard on the roots of your hair, resulting in damage and, occasionally, hair loss.

Be gentle

Being too rough with your hair is never a good idea. When washing, drying or tying it up, always use a softer touch, especially if you’re experiencing male pattern hair loss. Over-scrubbing or drying can damage your hair follicles over a long period of time.

If you’re dealing with male pattern hair loss, our unique treatment plans could be perfect for you. These plans are suitable for men on all stages of the Norwood Scale and contain a range of medications and supplements, including the clinically proven Finasteride and Minoxidil
