As with all medications, there is always a small risk of side effects. These medications are approved and licensed however by the licensing authority - MHRA, which means they are considered safe and effective for their intended use. The Oral Tablet is well studied, having been available since the 1990s to treat hair loss and benign prostatic hypertrophy. The Oral Tablet’s side effect profile is very favourable, with up to 4% of people reporting possible related side effects. These side effects tend to happen in the first six months of taking the medication and the vast majority resolve on cessation of the oral tablet.
