While the jury is still out on whether or not certain lifestyle changes can have any impact on your hair loss, there’s no doubt that they could help you cultivate a healthier head of hair. From lowering your stress levels to eating healthier, there are plenty of ways to help improve the health of your hair, alongside our treatment plans. Here are a few of our favourites.

Stress

High levels of stress have been linked to various types of hair loss and can also damage your general physical and mental health.  Whether you’re meditating or spending time in nature, practising mindfulness is a great way to lower your stress levels on a consistent basis. At the end of the day, being stressed does no favours to your overall wellbeing, so make sure you’re giving yourself enough time away from work so you can stay healthy in your mind and body.

Exercise

One of the best ways to lower those stress levels is by exercising on a consistent basis. It doesn’t matter if you’re in the gym or walking in the woods, moving your body will only do good things for the health of your hair and body. On top of lowering your stress levels, daily exercise could also have a direct impact on your hair loss. Some studies have suggested that exercise could lower levels of DHT in the body, but this area of research needs to be studied more in-depth before any concrete conclusions can be made.

Not only could these lifestyle changes have a positive effect on your hair, but they will also enhance your overall mental and physical wellbeing. However, if you want to take that next step to combat your hair loss, our treatment plans are the way to go. From Finasteride to Minoxidil, our plans are designed to get your hair back on track. Take a look through our range today.

A gentler touch

When styling or washing, using a gentler touch can stop you from inadvertently damaging your hair, especially when you’re dealing with hair loss. During the washing, conditioning and drying process, make sure to keep your touch light and avoid using powerful hair dryers. Styling is another area in which men can be too rough with their hair, so always try to be careful when forming a style you want. In fact, it may also be worth considering swapping products for ones more suitable to your scalp, such as shampoos and gels.
