Introducing Dr Knut Moe - Medical Director at Sons

I am delighted to join Sons as Medical Director.

I knew when I met Will and Adrian (the founders) that Sons had a vision that I wanted to be a part of. Sons is an exciting new company that offers no-nonsense informed advice to men about the health issues they often don’t talk about, like how to keep their hair. They want to improve men’s healthcare in a way that immediately appealed to me.

My background is in business and healthcare which matches up perfectly with Will and Adrian’s professional experiences in pharmaceuticals and business. I believe I’m the right man to help Sons grow into a global leading brand in men’s health.

I work in a GP in Dublin and have also been treating hair loss over the last five years in a leading hair loss clinic in Ireland. Following my MBA studies in UCD, I was keen to explore a role where I could combine my business and medical experience - Sons provided the perfect fit.

Through my clinical experience, I understand the difficulties many men have with experiencing hair loss. Whilst there are many treatments out there that supposedly treat hair loss, many of these are unproven and ineffective and it can be difficult for men to separate these from safe and effective treatments. I’m working with Sons because I believe they’re the real deal. Here’s why:

Sons products in the UK are delivered straight to your door on a monthly subscription basis. This model is great for patients. For those not comfortable talking to someone in person about their hair loss, being able to order discretely makes treating their hair loss much easier. The monthly plan also makes it easier for them to keep on top of their treatment.

The products Sons offer is clinically effective, with Finasteride and Minoxidil being considered the most effective medical treatments available for hair loss. This is coupled with their Saw Palmetto shampoo and Biotin supplements, which can improve hair quality and promote growth.

As Medical Director at Sons, my role will include overseeing the company’s medical operations and strategy. I will be ensuring that best practice is adhered to at all times and be advising on clinical literature and guidance, treatments and standard operating procedures. I am excited to help Will and Adrian shape the company’s new product development and get Sons to reach as many men that need it.

Minoxidil, the first FDA approved medication for hair loss, is a topical preparation applied twice daily to the scalp. Sons’ 5% solution has a unique applicator for ease of use and does not contain Proplyene Glycol, an ingredient found in many other liquid Minoxidil preparations which can cause scalp irritation.
