Oral Minoxidil - Hair Loss

Oral Capsule increases blood flow and oxygen in vessels which reactivates and revitalises shrunken hair follicles.

Who's it for?

Oral Minoxidil is designed to treat the initial stages of hair loss in men, which are often concentrated around the crown and temples. Oral Minoxidil suits men who’d rather take treatment orally instead of the topical route.

  • Similarly to applying minoxidil topically, Oral Minoxidil relaxes the muscular walls of blood vessels, a process called vasodilation. Your hair requires oxygen and nutrients to stimulate growth, so relaxing the blood vessels widens them to allow an increased blood flow to those targeted areas to better absorb these essential nutrients and oxygen. Due to Oral Minoxidil entering your body’s system directly, it’s claimed by some to be superior to other forms of application. The reason for this is that minoxidil requires activation, which can be done via the sulfotransferase enzyme located in the liver and on the scalp. However, there are men that don’t possess this enzyme on their scalps, so Oral Minoxidil negates the need for it by using the same enzyme in the liver.

  • Take one 2.5mg tablet of Oral Minoxidil per day. For the tablet to work and for you to begin noticing the successful effects, sustained use is recommended.

  • No, there is no contract involved. Rest assured that you have the choice to select the plan that suits your needs. Our 1-month, 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month subscriptions are manageable through your Manage Account page on our website, should you wish to alter your order or nominate a date for your next delivery. Alternatively, an enthusiastic member of our team is ready to receive your call should you want to phone us to discuss your queries.

  • Every month you’ll receive a package that includes:

    • 90 or 180 days' worth of Oral Minoxidil tablets, depending on your order. Each tablet’s dosage is 2.5mg.
  • Hair growth doesn’t happen overnight. Generally, hair grows at around 1cm every month. Therefore, it can take around 6 months for the signs of growth to noticeably appear, with even more significant results showing up after a year.

  • Oral Minoxidil is a suitable and safe alternative/2nd line treatment to topical Minoxidil in those who can’t take topical Minoxidil due to side effects from Topical Minoxidil such as scalp irritation, headaches, redness and itchy scalp, or who find hair appearance or even compliance difficult with topical treatments but who still want to treat their hair loss with Minoxidil.

  • An unlicensed medicine can be defined in a number of ways:

    - A medicine that is formulated in an alternative version to the licensed medicine (e.g. a oral medication made into a topical liquid formulation, or a medication made in a different strength to the original licensed version).
    - A medicine that has no licence at all.
    - A medicine that has a licence in other countries, but not the UK.
    - A medicine that is being used for a purpose other than for which it is specifically licensed - this is the case with Oral Minoxidil for hair loss.

  • Side effects are rare and generally reversible. Possible side effects include excessive hair growth (hypertrichosis) in other parts of the body , headaches and fluid retention.

It’s normal for your old hair to fall out within the first 2-4 months this is a good sign! It means that the medication is working and your hair is starting a new growth cycle.
