A word from
Dr Knut Moe

“ If you’re worried about losing your hair and are noticing early warning signs, this is the treatment plan for you. Minoxidil is the only non-prescription medication that is scientifically proven to treat male pattern hair loss. Minoxidil lotion is applied directly to the scalp to improve blood flow as well as the quality and quantity of your hair. When used alongside DHT Blocking Shampoo and Biotin supplements for thicker hair, you can help to hinder the balding process and improve the health and condition of your existing hair. ”

  • Men that experience male pattern hair loss are sensitive to a bi-product of testosterone called DHT. This hormone attaches to the hair follicles, causing them to shrink - this shrinkage thins your hair strands and eventually leads to them falling out altogether.

Minoxidil helps to prevent the effects of DHT by improving blood flow to the scalp, which revitalises shrunken hair follicles and encourages growth. The Sons Shampoo contains Saw Palmetto, a natural ingredient which also helps this process. Finally, the Biotin supplements promote strong and healthy hair.

  • Non Prescription is a treatment plan that can become part of your daily routine. Here’s our guidelines for use:

    • Use the DHT Blocking Shampoo once a day as part of your normal showering routine - massage into your scalp to create a lather, leave in for 60-90 seconds and rinse.
    • Apply the Minoxidil solution to the affected areas of your scalp once it is dry - our recommendation is do this once in the morning after showering and once in the evening before bed.
    • Take a Biotin capsule orally once a day at a time that suits you.
  • Sons doesn't do contracts. We offer flexible subscriptions which recur every 1-month, 3-months, 6-months or 12- months, depending on which plan you select. You can change the products in your subscription and choose when to get your next order all through our easy to use Manage Account page. Or just give us a call, and one of our agents will help you with anything you need.

  • Each monthly Simplicity pack contains:

    • Minoxidil (60ml topical solution)
    • DHT Blocking Shampoo (200ml bottle)
    • Biotin (30 tablets containing 900 ug / 1800% of daily requirement)
  • In general, an improvement in hair quality can be seen after a few months. Each man will respond differently, however a majority of men will begin to see the results after 6 months of regular and consistent use. It may take a further 6-9 months before optimum results are achieved - the important thing is to stay patient and remember hair loss treatment is a long-term solution.

  • You should use the Non Prescription plan if you are at the early stages of hair loss and want to combat it from the very start. This is a less invasive hair loss treatment plan that can help to prevent severe hair loss in men that have noticed mild recession and hair thinning.

  • Minoxidil 5% cutaneous solution is a medicine for topical application to the scalp that stimulates hair growth in men aged 18-65 years with male-pattern hair loss (androgetic alopecia) when applied to the skin. For more information please refer to the patient information leaflet.

  • There are limited side effects with minoxidil but some patients may experience mild scalp irritation. If you experience any side effects you should stop taking the medication. A complete list of side effects can be found in the Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) enclosed with your medication, which you should always read before taking it for the first time. Please report any adverse events to Yellowcard. For more information please refer to the patient information leaflet.
