"It's always your family that are the first ones to let you know"
Style influencer Damien Broderick first became conscious of his hair loss aged 16, when his sister pointed it out after he'd come out of the swimming pool. It's a tale many men can relate to, as was the time his barber pointed it out again years later when Damien was getting a trim.
It started getting Damien thinking. His social media had recently starting blowing up (his Instagram following now sits at 1.7 million), and he was building a reputation for his vintage style - all slicked back hair and throwback tailoring, contrasted with his striking all-over tattoos.
With the look he was getting a name for, going bald wasn't option. So instead he did some research and found that before going all in on a hair transplant, the best course of action was to start a hair loss treatment first, stabilise the loss. and go from there.
Damien did end up getting a hair transplant, but has used Sons ever since to make sure his hair is getting the support it needs to remain long, strong, and healthy.
We spoke to Damien as part of a recent shoot at our local pub, to talk about his style icons, his transplant journey, and why hair transplant aftercare is so important.
