Topical Finasteride & Oral Minoxidil

Sons’ Topical Hair Loss Spray & Minoxidil Capsule Plan is backed by science to give men who are noticing mild to moderate hair loss the best chance of improving hair quality around their temples and crown. This plan includes prescription medications suitable for those experiencing mild to moderate hair loss. It is suitable for men aged 18-65 years.

Finasteride Spray:

Apply 4 pumps to your scalp once-a-day. Your hair and scalp must be dry when applying the spray. Spread the solution across the treatment area using your fingertips, then wash your hands. We recommend allowing the solution to dry before applying and hair styling products such as hair gel, wax or mousse.

Minoxidil Capsule:

The recommended daily dose of our Oral Capsule is 2.5mg (one capsule). Take one tablet a day with or without food.

1. non-medicinal products must be returned in the original packaging and unopened to qualify for a refund.
2. medicinal/prescription products cannot be returned for safety reasons (and by law). Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for these products. The products must be used or destroyed. You can take them to a local pharmacy who can dispose of them for you.

How does Finasteride Spray work?

Once applied, the active ingredient reduces the levels of the DHT hormone that has attached itself to your hair follicles. By lowering the levels of DHT in your hair, your hair follicles are able to regrow.

How does Minoxidil work?

Minoxidil is thought to increase blood flow and oxygen to your scalp, which helps to reinvigorate hair follicles that have been damaged by an over-production of the hormone DHT, although it’s exact mechanism is unknown. DHT causes miniaturisation to hair follicles, which eventually leads to reduced blood flow and a lack of nutrients being delivered to the scalp. Using Minoxidil consistently provides a helping hand to your follicles, especially when used with other parts of our treatment plans.

How long does it take to work?

While the spray begins working immediately, results take around 3 months to become visible and a further 9 months to reach their peak.

It is important to note that some men will experience initial shedding when they first start using this solution, and whilst this can be concerning, this is actually a sign that the medication is working. The spray improves blood flow to the scalp which can trigger your old hair to shed, but this should be replaced with stronger, healthier hair after 9-12 months of consistent use.
